Trane Derails, Ales Survives
In the early game, Trane's 9 game winning streak (dating back to the spring playoffs last year) came to a screeching halt, losing 10-4 to the A's. The victors used 2 first inning runs and 7 more in the second, all scoring with 2 outs, to put Trane down for good. In the late game, Angry Ales took a 4-1 lead into the top of the 6th inning. Timely hits by Frank and Kristen scored 3 Jackalopes runs to tie the game. Ales won the game in the bottom of the 6th by a 5-4 score, when David Kelly singled with 2 outs and 2 runners on base. Same matchups and times next week, as we begin making up the rained out games. Trane heads the standings at 6-1, then Ales at 4-3, A's at 3-3, and Jackalopes at 0-6. |
